WICHITA, Kan. - Newman dropped a home dual to Central Missouri Monday night in Fugate Gymnasium. The Mules took the dual 27-15 on the Jets' Senior Day.

Kameron Frame,
Kendall Frame,
Garrett Lange,
JD Johnson and
Baylor Smith each received recognition for their time and talent given to the Newman Wrestling program.
D'Andre Brown,
Caleb Streeter,
Kameron Frame and
Ivan Balavage were victorious for the Jets. Brown, Frame and Balavage each won by decision while Streeter's victory came against an open forfeit.
D'Andre Brown's 7-2 decision gave the Jets a 3-0 lead to open the night.
Caleb Streeter gave the Jets a 9-6 lead after Newman forfeited the 133 because of an opening.
Jace Fisher and
Garrett Lange suffered tough losses from decisions. Fisher's 1 point loss brought lots of excitement to the large Newman crowd.
Kameron Frame continued his great campaign with another win over Emmett Kuntz to put the Jets even at 12-12.
Newman was down 21-12 after
JD Johnson dropped a decision and an opening at 184.
Ivan Balavage picked up Newman's final win with a decision at 197 pounds.
Hunter Scott's bout at 285 would require a pin for the Jets to draw even trailing 21-15. Scott was unable to beat Collin Braun who won by fall at 3:41.
It was a tough finish to a celebratory Senior Day as the Jets fell 27-15 and fall to 3-3 (0-2 MIAA).
