WICHITA.- The Jets' last home match-up of the season was against Fort Hays State. The Tigers took the match up 32-18.
Starting at 157lbs, Elijah Means took on Johnny Thomas. He lost by tech fall 15-0 (3:38), giving FHSU 5 points.
At 165 lbs, Jayden Ford lost by tech fall 19-2 (5:18) to No. 19 Carson Lindsey. The score would go to 0-10, in favor of the Tigers.
In the 174lb match, Skyler Geer wrestled Hunter Harris. Harris earned the win by decision 7-1. The score would go to 0-13.
Chris Mapp stepped in at 184 lbs against Houston Frank. Frank won by fall (6:30). The score would stand at 0-19.
Erik Tomanek then faced Ryan Patterson at 197 lbs, dropping the match by fall (1:31). The Tigers would extend their lead to 0-25.
No. 16 Caleb Wunsch competed against Jaxson Thomas at 285 lbs. Wunsch won by fall (2:49). The score would stand at 6-25
At 125lbs the Tigers forfeited, Koehn Dietrich received the win. The Jets claimed six points, taking the score to 12-25.
At 133lbs No. 11 Jevin Foust stepped in against Jett Schwartz, winning via fall (5:24). The score would go to 18-25.
At 141lbs, Kaven Bartlett faced off against Kolton Field. Bartlett lost by major decision (13-4). This extended FHSU's lead to 18-29.
To close out the dual, Colby Schreiner wrestled the 149lb match. Schreiner lost by decision 6-3, taking the score to 18-32.
The Jets would fall to the Tigers 32-18.
