BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Men's Golf looked to end the 2022 fall golf season on a high note after struggling last Monday and Tuesday in the Newman Invitational. This year's Tulsa Cup featured 17 teams, with 7 being MIAA teams. Newman finished in 15
th place, higher than Rogers State (2) and Northwestern Oklahoma State. As a team, Newman finished at +39.
Jaden Hightower had his best result of the season, tying for 7
th and finishing even on the 2 rounds. He finished with 20 pars. Hightower went on a 13 hole streak where he finished at par or better. Hightower's 6 birdies was good enough to help him finish 3 strokes behind the eventual winner.
Justin Looper tied for 65
th place with a +16 score, ending the Tulsa Cup with 18 pars and taking 2 strokes off his game in round 2 to end his 2 round score at +16.
Braxton Muldoon tied for 78
th at +20, finishing with 2 birdies and having his best 9 score on the back 9 in round 1 on the back 9 (+2).
Jackson Lewis (83) and
Bailor Harris (87) followed Muldoon and finished at 4
th and 5
th for the Jets.
Newman ends their fall season with a 15
th place finish with Hightower's top 10 finish highlighting the 2 day event for Newman.
