WICHITA – Newman Volleyball fell in straight sets to Southern Nazarene on Tuesday night in non-conference play. The Jets came off a 4 set victory on Saturday and were looking to gain more momentum before going back into conference play at Missouri Western on Friday.
 
The Crimson Storm out hit the Jets on the night, hitting .309 to .074. The 2^nd set was the biggest disparity with the Crimson Storm taking the set 25-11.
 
Riley Daugherty and Ozioma Ajekwu led the Jets with 8 kills. Mckinzie Weaver finished the game with 27 assists.
 
Newman (7-9, 2-4) returns to MIAA play this Friday when they take on Missouri Western (4-9, 1-4) in a match set for 6 PM.
