WICHITA - Jets Wrestling returned to Fugate Gymnasium Friday night for their final home duel of the season. Newman would face another top team at home with No. 2 Nebraska Kearney making a visit to Wichita.
The Jets would lose tonight's dual vs the Lopers 36-3.
Dylan Sheler and
Jace Fisher had close losses, both my decision (5-2) and (6-4) but it would be
Jevin Foust who would earn the lone victory for the Jets after winning by an 8-4 defiantly over No. 2 UNK's Airola.
The Lopers continued their win streak over NU, which is now at 13 straight victories.
Kearney improves to 6-3 on the season and 1-0 in the MIAA while Newman still looks for its first MIAA victory.
Newman returns to action next week when they travel to Kearney, Nebraska to compete in the Midwest Duals, hosted by Nebraska-Kearney.
