MARYVILLE, MO. - Newman was defeated throughly on the road Friday afternoon, being defeated by Northwest Missouri State 5-0.
The Bearcats were simply dominant going forward, having 30 shots over the course of the match. Over half of the shots came in the second half.
Northwest Missouri State's first two goals came within ten minutes of each other. The Bearcats would continue to show their strong firepower in the remainder of the match.
The Jets did have three shots in the first half, including a shot on target from
Cassie Moeder just five minutes into the contest. It was the closest the Jets would come to scoring in the game, as they would not have any shots in the second half.
The Bearcats scored three more goals home in the second, as they slowly salted the game away.
Newman will be back in action on Sunday, taking on Missouri Western at 1 PM, before returning back to Wichita for three straight home matches.
