Thanksgiving appetizers and leftovers
The Jets will play host to two more NCCAA opponents, hosting Manhattan Christian and Barclay College for two Thanksgiving week games.
Last Time Out
The Jets played a tough William Jewell team on Saturday in a 90-77 loss. The Cardinals had been picked to finish 4
th in the GLVC, which is their highest preseason placing since joining the conference.
The game was an offensive spectacle, with both teams shooting at a high rate. The Jets had an advantage for a good portion of the first half, but a lengthy scoring run for the Cardinals put the Jets down double digits.
Stevie Smith scored most of the opening points of the second half for Newman as they slowly began to crawl their way back into the game, but the Cardinals continued to shoot lights out in a game that was closer than the scoreline indicated.
Sam Somerhalder scored in double digits for his fourth straight game, as he finished just one rebound short of a double-double.
Stevie Smith would finish the game with a double-double, leading the Jets with 22 points and 12 boards.

The Bears of Barclay are coming off a 3-19 season. They are led by first year head coach George Milsap. The Bears have never had a consistent head coach in the position, with Milsap being the team's fifth head coach in as many years.
