A Pair of Unbeatens
The Jets will open the conference season hosting two undefeated opponents, with both Lincoln and Central Missouri holding undefeated records to open the year.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Saturday's game against Barclay was intended to be the Jets 6th game of the season, but due to a winter storm the game has been postponed indefinitely.

Last Time Out
The Jets hosted Manhattan Christian just before the Thanksgiving break, controlling the game from beginning to end.

Stevie Smith continued his impressive start to the season, getting 15 points against the Thunder. Smith has been one of the Jets most consistent scorers, scoring in double digits in several games.

Sam Somerhalder scored in double digits for his fifth straight game and would get yet another double-double in the win.

Kaeson Fisher-Brown got his first start of the season and impressed, scoring 13 and assisting 6.
Box Score | Recap

Scouting the Squadron
The Jets went 3-2 in non-conference play as they begin the second phase of their season.

Although Stevie Strong did not play last Tuesday, he still leads the team in scoring average getting 17 points a game. Stevie Smith has proven to be a key asset to the Jets as he now averages more than 11 points a game.

Same Somerhalder is closing in an averaging a double-double every game, as the talented sophomore continues his rise in the MIAA.

Division I transfer Karrington Davis looks like he will be a major impact player coming off the bench, as his minutes against the Thunder were productive.

Behind Enemy Lines
Lincoln is 4-0 following a sixth-place finish in the conference last season. The Tigers have taken on some tough teams to begin the year, including their first which was against Division I St. Louis in what was an exhibition game that the Tigers lost.

The Tigers began their season with a MIAA/GAC Conference challenge that saw them defeat Harding and Ouachita Baptist in the opening weekend.

Central Missouri is also 4-0 to begin the year. The Mules also defeated Harding and Ouachita to open the year, while also defeating one of the better teams in the Midwest region, Missouri S&T.

This is the best start to a season the Mules have had since the 2018-19 season, which was also the last time the team went .500 or better.

The Series
Newman is 9-5 all time against the Lincoln Tigers. However, since joining the MIAA the Jets are 1-5 against the Tigers. This will be the last time the two teams will meet in Wichita in a conference match before the Tigers return to the GLVC.

The Jets are 1-4 all time against the Mules, having lost the last three to their opponent. The two teams have never met more than once per season in conference play.

Upcoming Attractions
The Jets return to the road to take on Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern next week in the final road games before the winter break.
