Jake Angelico has been selected as MIAA Co-Hitter of The Week after his performances in the series win this past weekend at Southern Nazarene.
Angelico helped lead the Jets to a 14-7 victory in game 1 and a 23-12 thumping of the Crimson Storm in game 3.Â
The senior from Clearfield High School in New Braunfels, Texas was 2-4 with 3 RBI's in game 1 and a perfect 2-2 on stolen bases in the Jets win. He had a standout performance in thE 23-12 win on Saturday, going 4-4 with 7 RBI's, hitting 2 doubles, earning 1 walk and a stolen base as well as a HBP. Jake's home run in the 4th inning helped him total 10 bases in the decisive game 3 win and did that all in 7 innings of play. The senior has a .917 slugging percentage after his performances this past weekend.
The Jets are now 2-1 to begin the season and return to the field tomorrow when they visit Northwestern Oklahoma State.Â
