OWASSO, Okla. - Men's Golf began 2023 play in their first tournament of the season in Owasso, Oklahoma at Bailey Ranch Golf Course for the Hillcat Classic. It was the first of five tournaments the Jets will take part in this Spring season.
 
Justin Looper had the best result of the day for the Jets, finishing at T36. Looper's best 9 came during day 2 when he finished holes 1-9 at -2 with 3 birdies. On hole 14 Looper shot for an Eagle, the only one on the tournament for the Jets.
 
Braxton Muldoon finished at T45 for Newman. Muldoon finished with 26 pars over the 3 rounds.
 
Layton Love finished tied for 53rd at +37. He lowered his first 2 round scores by shooting +11 in round 3.
 
Bailor Harris shot +53 to place 57th in the classic. He finished the event with 21 pars. Tyke Horn placed 58th with a +55 3 rounds. Jackson Lewis finished in 59th after shooting +56 in the tournament.
 
Newman finished in 10th place behind MIAA foe Lincoln. They'll look to rebound from this weekend when they compete in Edmond, Oklahoma next week at the Broncho Invitational.
