PITTSBURG, Kans. - Baseball went to the series win in Pittsburg, Kansas on Saturday afternoon. After an explosive game one where the Jets overcame a 4-0 deficit and would win 7-6, the bats went cold in game two and the Jets would fall 13-1.
Jenner Steele had the lone RBI and run for the Jets. Steele hit his 18th home run of the season, a light tower power shot over the left center field wall.
Steele had one of six Jet hits on the afternoon. Jason Schneider led the Jets in the hit column with two. Eli Wohl, and Tyler Hammil had hits as well.
PSU jumped out to a 7-0 lead that NU couldn't recover from. Steele's 18th home run of the season and 3rd of the series made it a 7-1 game. Steele has 8 RBI's in the series.
The Jets would get no more runs the rest of the game and fall in seven innings. They move to 6-8 all time vs Pitt State and stay at 6th in the MIAA standings at 20-26, 12-17 in MIAA play with four game to go. They play the rubber match and go for the series win Sunday at noon.
