WICHITA - Baseball earned their 7th run rule victory of the season, defeating East Central 10-0 in 8 innings after 8 Jets combined for 13 hits in route to the win.

Brycen Schoenhofer earned the win and moved to 2-0 on the season. He threw just 18 pitches in relief and gave up no runs and no hits. The Jets pitching staff held the Tigers to only 2 hits, the best all season for NU.
Andrew Hudson started the game and went 2 innings and allowing just one hit.
Thomas Ford earned his 1st strikeout of the season. It was the first shutout of the season for the staff.

Joe Kinneberg was perfect at the plate and in the field today. Kinneberg went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and an RBI.

Shawn Marquis finished 2 for 4 and reached base 7 straight times between yesterday's game and his 2nd at bat of today's game.
Tyler Hamill finished 1-4 in the game with an RBI.

Jenner Steele and
Eli Wohl both ended the game with 3 RBI's. Steele 3 for 4 and was the lone Jet with an extra base hit this afternoon. He has extended his hit streak to 5 games. Wohl had a sacrifice fly, an RBI single and was walked with bases loaded in the game.

The win was the first shutout of the season for Newman. It avenges a loss to the Tigers on the road earlier this season. The Jets are inching closer to the .500 mark at 17-19.

Newman has a quick turnaround back in to MIAA play with their final home series of the season against Emporia State tomorrow through Saturday.
