CLAREMORE, OK - The Jets took on the Rogers State Hillcats Sunday afternoon, and were defeated for the second straight game, losing 1-0. 

The Jets and Hillcats played in Wichita last Sunday, playing to a 1-1 draw at Bishop Carroll High School. 

The first half was all even. Both teams struggled to make an offensive breakthrough, with neither team showing signs of any scoring chances. Newman had two shots in the first half, both of them heading over the posts. 

The Jets would have eight shots in the second half, giving the Hillcats more of a worry, but only two of them would be on target. 

Rogers State broke through in the 65th minute, which would turn out to be the only goal of the match. Newman had several chances late from set pieces, but nothing would come to fruition. 

The Jets fall to 1-6-1 following the defeat. They will return home for the next two games, taking on Missouri Southern on Thursday and Central Missouri on Sunday.
