WICHITA- Men's Soccer hosted Harding for their second match up of the season. The last match up the Jets took the match up, 3-1. This time out, the Jets downed the Bisons 4-2.
How it Happened:
- The Jets offense held the majority of the possession in the first half. In the 3rd minute, Nicole Lai had a great look on goal but the shot was saved by the Bisons goalkeeper. Seconds later,
Alberto Romano had a look but missed just to the right of the frame. Romano had another look in the 10th minute but the Harding goalie made yet another save to keep the Jets off the board. In the 20th minute, Romano was finally able to find the back of the net off of a bicycle kick that hit the top right of the net to put the Jets on top at 1-0.
Gustavo Dias Juliani recorded the assist for the Jets first goal. The Bisons had a look on goal in the 26th minute but
Juan Carlos Cordova was able to make a save on the ball to keep the Bisons scoreless. The Jets found the back of the net again in the 43rd minute with a tap in goal from
Asa Moncivais. Mario De Roque and
Tomas Melon were credited with the assist on the second Jets goal. In the first half, the Jets recorded nine shots with five on goal. Newman went into halftime with the lead at 2-0.
- In the second half, the Jets offense had a few shots in the first ten minutes of play but none of those shots were on frame. Finally in the 66th minute,
Gustavo Dias Juliani found his brother,
Gabriel Dias Juliani to net the Jets third goal of the day. Newman took the lead, 3-0 with 24 minutes left to play. Just a minute later, the Bisons were awarded a free kick in a dangerous area. The Bisons were able to connect off this free kick opportunity to net their first goal of the game and make the game 3-1. The Jets answered right back in the 69th minute off of a goal from Moncivais which secured himself a brace on the day. Moncivais was assisted by
Gustavo Dias Juliani, his third assist on the day. This goal extended the Jets lead back to three goals at 4-1. In the 76th minute the Jets had a chance to extend their lead with a shot by
Andres Lagos Verduga but the Bisons goalie was on top of it to keep the Jets at four goals. In the 85th minute the Bisons were awarded a penalty kick to make the match a 4-2 contest. After this mark, the Jets defense was able to keep the Bisons off the board and secured the win 4-2.
- Newman defeated the Bisons, 4-2.
Player Notes:
- Romano broke the Jets record for points in a season (25) after adding his 12th goal of the season. Romano currently leads the GAC in goals on the season.

Gustavo Dias Juliani broke the Jets record for most assists in a season with his 8th, 2nd in the conference.

Gabriel Dias Juliani is third in the conference with goals on the season with six.
- Moncivais connected with his first career goal, then added another goal on the day to record a brace.

Mario De Roque Zazon had two assists on the day.
