WICHITA- The Jets hosted Oklahoma Christian, another non-conference match up. The Jets also celebrated Senior Day for their 12 seniors.
 
How It Happened:
-The Jets and Eagles had a very even first half despite the Eagles out shooting the Jets, 7-2. Newman was able to hold the Eagles scoreless in the first half with three saves by goalkeeper Carla Apodaca. The Jets put up two shot attempts in the first half but couldn't get on the board. 
- In the second half the Eagles were able to connect with a goal in the 68th minute. Though it was an even match up, the Jets were unable to find the back of the net before the final whistle blew. The Eagles took the game 1-0. 
 
Player Notes:
- Delphine Sosu led the Jets with two shots, one on goal. 
- Apodaca recorded a season high six saves. 
 
The Jets head out on the road for the next four contests. They will face two more non-conference match ups in Oklahoma and MIAA play will begin September 27th at Emporia State followed by at Washburn on September 29th.
