ALVA, Okla.- The Jets faced Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers for a non-conference match up. The last time out, the Jets dropped a tight game against Oklahoma Christian, 1-0. 

How It Happened:
-The Jets offense started off hot in the first half, tallying three shots in the first eight minutes of play. The offense continued to have attacking chances throughout the first 45, with 14 first half shots, ten on target, and serving five corners. Katrina Kowitz, from an assist by Natalia Gonzalez, was able to connect with the back of the net in the 34th minute for the Jets to take the lead. The Jets defense was locked down in the first half keeping the Rangers at zero on the scoreboard. Goalkeeper, Carla Apodaca, had a clean sheet in the first half with five saves. The Jets went into halftime on top, 1-0.
- In the second half, the Rangers came out as the attacking team, making the Jets face six shots in the first 15 minutes. The Jets defense held strong through the aggressive Rangers offense until the 68th minute when Jenna Mills of NWOSU was able to even the score at 1-1. The Rangers added another second half goal in the 80th minute by Lilly Anderson. The second half surge by NWOSU was enough to overtake the Jets, 2-1.

Player Notes:
- Kowitz scores her first goal of the season, adding two shots on goal in 40 minutes of play. 
- Emma Lintecum records career high saves with 7.
- Lexi Bauer added three shots, all three on goal. 

The Jets head to Southern Nazarene for their last non-conference match up of the season on September 21st at 7 PM.
