Five goal scorers takes down No.22 Southern Nazarene

Jets find their first ranked win since taking down No.17 SNU last season

 WICHITA- The Jets hosted Southern Nazarene (No. 22) for their first conference game of the season. The Jets took down Southern Nazarene with five different goal scorers and three second half goals. 
 
How It Happened:
-In the first half the Jets hit the board first. In the 12th minute, Gustavo Dias Juliani caught the defense sleeping and found the back of the net to take the lead, 1-0.
- Cameron Schroder, in the 19th minute, was the next Jet to score. With assists by Caio Tashceto and Dias Juliani, Schroder poked the ball past the goalkeeper after the corner service. The Jets went into halftime dominating the game and winning the possession battle. In the first half alone, the Jets recrorded 19 shots and held the Crimson Storm to just three shots. 
-The Crimson Storm came out of halftime with a new energy. Thanks to Unaiz Shajan, who completed the hat trick, was the sole goal scorer for the Crimson Storm. Shajan scored one in the 46th minute, and two in the 55th minute. With his three goals, the Jets found themselves down one with 35 minutes left to play.
- Finally, in the 78th minute Paulo Villalobos cut the deficit with a goal of his own. Villalobos was able to play the rebound of multiple Jets shots after their corner try to make the score 3-3 with 22 minutes left.
- In the 84th minute, Gabriel Dias Juliani joined his brother on the score sheet. Dias Juliani was assisted by Lai and Felipe Calderaro as the Jets played forward and found Dias Juliani to retake the lead, 4-3.
- To put a third goal in for the Jets in the second half, in the 88th minute, Alberto Romano found the back of the net. This goal allowed Newman to close out the game with a 5-3 win.
- In the second half the Jets out shot the Crimson Storm, putting up12 shots. 
- The Jets took down No.22 SNU, 5-3 in their first conference match up of the 2024 season. 

Player Notes:
- The Jets had five different goal scorers.
- Tascheto, Lai, Mario De Roque Zazon, and Gabriel Dias Juliani tallied the assists for the Jets.
- Cameron Schroder finds his first goal of the season.
- Gabriel Dias Juliani and Romano both record their fourth goal of the season.
 
The Jets are back home on October 3rd against Northeastern State at 7  PM.
