Last Time Out
The Jets are coming off a four-set win against non-conference opponent Southwest Baptist. The Jets completed the three set comeback after dropping the first set. In set four, Newman battled out multiple match points to finally clinch the win at 31-29. The Jets head into conference play with two wins under their belt.

Scouting the Jets
Ozioma Ajekwu is leading the Jets on the offensive end, with 123 kills through 11 matches played. McKenna Rhodes has also been big for the Jets offense tallying 88 kills. Natalie Meyer leads the Jets on the defensive end of the ball with 38 blocks. Natalie Trigo leads the back row with 209 digs. 
 
Behind Enemy Lines
Central Oklahoma is coming off a strong season going 26-5. The Bronchos ended their season in the quarterfinals of the MIAA tournament. This season the Bronchos brought in 2nd place in the MIAA preseason coaches' poll and found themselves in the top 25 to start the season. In non-conference play they started off 13-0 and are currently sitting at #13 in the AVCA Coaches poll.
 
Arkansas Fort-Smith is coming off a 22-8 season. The Lions season ended after losing in the Lone Star Conference championship to #5 ranked Texas A&M Kingsville.  This season the Lions found themselves picked 7th in the MIAA coaches preseason poll. In non-conference play they picked up 8 wins. The Lions are in their first year in the MIAA and will look to make their mark.
 
The Series
The Jets and Bronchos have met up 16 times since 2008, with Central Oklahoma only losing one of those match ups back in 2009. The last match up was a Bronchos win, 3-0. 
 
Arkansas Fort-Smith enters their first season in the MIAA. The Jets and Lions have only met up twice in history, with the Lions taking two wins.
 
Next Up
The Jets return home next week against non-conference opponent William Jewell before heading back on the road for more conference play against Washburn on October 4th and Emporia State on October 5th.
