ELMHURST, Ill.- The NTCA released its coaches preseason poll where Newman claimed the seventh spot in the Division II/II rankings, and are receiving votes nationally across all divisions. Five GLVC teams found themselves in the top ten rankings in Division II/III, with Newman claiming 140 points for the seventh spot.

The Jets are coming off of a 35-43 season. Last season the Jets brought in two first place finishes at SWIBC 5 and 6. Newman also brought in second place finishes at the Wildcat DII invitational and USBC Sectionals. At the GLVC Championship, the Jets took third place with wins against Quincy, McKendree, and Central Missouri. Newman capped off their 2024-25 campaign with a seventh place finish at the ITC National Tournament.
Women's Bowling returns
Ashley Soto who earned All-GLVC Honorable Mention status last season. Last year, Soto recorded a 19.80 traditional average with an 18.60 baker average. Soto recorded 45.5 strike percentage, 80.7 fill percentage, 86.3 single-pin spare percentage, and a 60.8 multi-pin spare percentage.
Tallie Scott also returns who was named as a Sportsmanship Award Honoree last season.
The Jets kick off their season on October 10-12 at the Warhawk Classic in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
