Cross Country finishes runner-up at U of O Invitational

Kiprotich wins individual title

CLARKSVILLE, Ark.- Jets Cross Country traveled to Arkansas to compete in the U of O Invitational. Both teams would secure a second place finish with the women bringing in 36 points and the men bringing in 53 points. 

Women's Cross Country delivered a strong performance this weekend, placing several runners inside the top ten. Leading the Jets was Nayelly Rosales, who secured a podium finish with a third-place time of 19:01.70. Close behind were Britton Kelly (6th – 20:23.80), Laura Davis (8th – 20:30.90), and Teressa Martinez (10th – 20:41.00), helping Newman to a solid overall showing. The Jets showcased depth throughout the lineup, with all runners finishing within the top half of the field, including freshman Isabella Torres in 18th and Ilese Burroughs in 19th.

Men's Cross Country dominated the course this weekend, led by Timothy Kiprotich, who claimed the individual title with a first-place finish in 24:57.94. The victory marks a standout performance for Kiprotich, pacing the field by over 20 seconds. Reagan Longei followed close behind in 10th (26:51.86), while Logan Libel (14th – 27:06.42) and Jake Beauchamp (15th – 27:23.73) secured solid mid-pack finishes. Josias Chavez Ramirez (20th – 28:19.27) and Paul Sevart (22nd – 28:58.70) rounded out the scoring group for the Jets.
