INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-  The Great Lakes Valley Conference released its Women's Bowling Athlete of the Week. Freshman Claire Jacobson was named GLVC Women's Bowling Athlete of the Week. 

Last weekend, Jacobson helped the Jets to a first place finish at the Warhawk Classic. Jacobson's performance earned her a spot on the All-Tournament team. Jacobson played a key role for Newman University, completing 127 of 128 frames for  93% of team frames bowled. She stayed consistent throughout, converting 79.7% of her makeable spares and striking on 45.3% of her attempts. Jacobson averaged 18.84 traditional average and 19.25 baker average which ranked first and second in the conference this week. She hit a sum of 91.7% for 10th frame fill percentage as well as a 41.7% 10th frame strike percentage. 

The Jets host the Midstates Championship this weekend, starting on 10/18 and finishing up on 10/19.
