WICHITA- The Jets hosted Pittsburg State at Wilkins to kick off the weekend slate. Against the Gorillas, the Jets would fall 3-1.
How it Happened:

Delphine Dzidzinyo Sosu netted the first goal of the game just four minutes into play.
Lexi Bauer booted the ball ahead to Sosu to give her a chance at a 1 on 1 opportunity that she finished. The Gorillas would find the equalizer in the 31st minute to make it 1-1. The score would hold for the remainder of the half. In the first 45 minutes of play, the Gorillas outshot the Jets 7-1.
Carla Apodaca made three saves in the half to hold the Gorillas to just one goal.
- In the 53rd minute the Gorillas would break the 1-1 tie with a goal by Shayla Hunt. This gave the Gorillas the 2-1 edge with 37 minutes to play. In the 58th minute,
Emma Kolbe had a good look on goal but could not connect with the equalizer. The Gorillas put the game away with eight minutes to play after connecting with their third goal of the game and the 3-1 lead. The Jets would fall short in a tough battle, 3-1.
