WICHITA- The Jets hosted Pittsburg State for a Friday night match up. The last match up between the Jets and Gorillas went to the Gorillas. Tonight's match up went to the Gorillas, 3-0.
How it Happened:
- The Jets started the match with early energy going on a scoring run with three kills by
Sky Miller. Ahead with the score 8-5, the Jets forced Pitt State to take a timeout. Followed by the timeout, Pitt came out with momentum to go on a nine point run. Kills by Lamb and Miller could not push the Jets past the finish line as Pitt State took the first set 25-15.
- Two kills early by
Isabella Lamb kept the Jets close with the Gorillas in the beginning of the second set. Pitt State began to pull away taking a 19-10 lead, forcing the Jets to take a timeout. A pair of kills by
Hannah Tymitz and an ace from
Brooklyn Lane late in the second set was not enough to comeback from the Gorilla run. Pitt State takes the second set 25-15 to extend their lead to 2-0 in the match.

Avery Kelley and Miller started the Jets off strong in set three creating an early lead of 6-3. Kills by Pitt States, Kassidy Nixon, allowed the Gorillas to tie the match at 9-all. After an ace by Hoot, the Jets were able to reset and stay within reaching distance of the Gorillas. Lamb and Miller contributed key kills towards the end of the third set to keep the pressure on the Gorillas. Pitt State pulled away, ending the set 25-19 and closing out the match 3-0.
