TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - The Jets wrapped up the weekend of play at Northeastern State. Newman would fall, 5-0.
How it Happened:
- In the opening 15 minutes of play, the Riverhawks were aggressive early on the offensive end. Finding seven shots, before netting the first goal of the game in the 14th minute. The goal was netted by Annabella Trotter of the Riverhawks to give them an early 1-0 edge over the Jets. The Riverhawks offense would continue to roll, scoring three more goals in the first half. Their second goal came in the 26th minute by Terrin White. To wrap up the half, NSU would punch two goals to the back of the net in the 43rd minute to take the 4-0 lead at the break.
Delphine Dzidzinyo Sosu put one shot on goal in the first half, the Jets only shot of the half.
- The Jets second half offense recorded seven shots, out shooting the Riverhawks by two shots. Newman's defense stepped up in the second half, but the strong NSU offense would connect with their fifth goal of the game in the 86th minute. The Jets would fall to the Riverhawks, 5-0.
