EDMOND, Okla. - The Jets traveled to Edmond to face Central Oklahoma. Against the Bronchos, the Jets fell 3-0.
How it Happened:
-The Jets battled Central Oklahoma in the first set of play. The Bronchos hopped out to a 5-1 lead, but the Jets rallied within one point at 5-4 after errors by the Bronchos and a kill by Isabella Lamb. The Jets would later tie it at 7-7. The Jets and Bronchos would trade points back and forth until the Bronchos went on a 5-0 run to take their lead to 13-9. The Jets would pull back within one after a 3-0 run, helped by a kill by Sky Miller. Another kill by Miller would keep the Jets within points down the stretch. An ace by Miller pulled Newman to a one-point deficit at 19-18. The Bronchos would pull out a 2-0 run, which would later be enough to give them the edge over Newman. The Jets fell 25-21 in the first set.
- An early kill by Hannah Tymitz started the Jets off in the second set, which was followed by points going back and forth until a four-point Broncho run would put them up 4-8. The Bronchos' attack outnumbered the kills by Tymitz and Miller. The Bronchos took the second set 13-25.
- Jets started the third set with a Tymitz kill. Miller and Avery Kelley followed up quickly with kills to put the Jets up 5-4. The Bronchos would have a strong break, including seven kills to go up 9-16. The Jets would fire back, claiming five of the next seven points, helped by an Isabella Lamb kill, two Miller kills, and two Tymitz kills. Down 14-18, the Jets would earn three more points, including another kill by Lamb. The third set would go to the Bronchos 17-25.
