HAYS, Kan.- The Jets traveled to Hays to compete in the Bob Smith Open. De'Leon Freeman secured a fourth-place finish for the Jets. 

Dylan Sheler (125 lb) 

Sheler opened his day with a bye, followed by a 12-5 decision over Justin Shaw of Ouachita Baptist. He fell in Championship Round 2 to Cadyn Coyle of Nebraska-Kearney, 15–1 by major decision. In consolation round 3, he earned a 3–0 fall at 2:21 over Lir Laughlin of Colorado State U Club. Followed by a win in Consolation Round 4 with a 3-0 fall at 1:34 over Devon Frazier of Carl Albert State. In Consolation Round 5, he was defeated 7-0 by Hunter Jackson of Carl Albert State.  

Koehn Dietrich (125 lb) 

Dietrich began with a first-round bye. He then fell by fall to Jayden Grijalva (Unattached), 10-9 at 4:51, followed by a 7-1 loss by fall at 2:57 to Hunter Jackson of Carl Albert State in Consolation Round 2, ending his tournament run.  

Kaven Bartlett (133 lb) 

Bartlett began with a first-round bye. In his first match of the day, Bartlett lost to Nico Farinola of Colorado School of Mines by decision 10-3. In Consolation Round 2, he earned a 3-0 fall at 0:46 over Bryson Parker (Unattached), then earned another win in Consolation Round 3 by fall over Trace Brisendine of Fort Hays Tech Northwest 2-3 at 0:35. His day concluded in Consolation Round 4 with a 19-4 technical fall loss at 2:06 to Brenyn Delano of Nebraska-Kearney.  

Alexander Rodriguez (141 lb) 

Rodriguez opened with a 3-0 fall at 1:22 over Gavin Gonzalez of Schreiner University. He lost in Championship Round 2 by a 10-3 decision to Iziah Tusler of Ouachita Baptist, then rebounded in Consolation Round 2 with an 11-3 major decision over Alejandro Ramirez of Pratt CC. He later lost in Consolation Round 3 by fall to Kolton Field of Fort Hays State, 12-2 at 5:35.  

Braden Tatum (141 lb) 

Tatum started the day with a 3-0 fall at 0:38 over Jaylon Simon of Schreiner University. He then earned a 5-0 fall at 1:04 over Caiden Beagley of Western Colorado in Championship Round 2, Tatum then lost in the quarterfinal to Dailey Jennings of Unattached, 14-8 by decision. In Consolation Round 4, he lost by MFFL to Kaedun Goodman of Nebraska-Kearney.

Colby Schreiner (149 lb) 

Schreiner began with a first-round bye. He opened Championship Round 2 with an 18-1 technical fall over Preston Holt of CSU Pueblo, then won 7-0 by decision over Corbin White of Fort Hays State in Championship Round 3. He lost 3-0 at 1:07 to Daniel DeRosier of Nebraska-Kearney in the Quarterfinal, then bounced back in Consolation Round 6 with an 11-7 decision over Scotty Engle of Colby CC. In consolation round 7, he fell 0-0 by MFFL to Jayden Bustillos of Schreiner, ending his tournament. 

Keyson Halling (149 lb) 

Halling began with two byes, then lost in Championship Round 2 by 18-3 technical fall to Angel Flores of Adams State. In consolation round 3, he fell 9-0 2:37 by fall to Tobias Pinson of Colorado State U Club, ending his day.  

Romiz Monaco (149 lb) 

Monaco began with a first-round bye. He fell 3-0 at 0:16 by fall to Celestino Gonzales of Western Colorado in Consolation Round 2. Followed by a loss to Darriouis Perkins of Fort Hays Tech Northwest by MFFL, ending his tournament.  

Elijah Means (157 lb) 

After a first-round bye, Means lost 12-10 by decision to Justus Hulse of Fort Hays State in Championship Round 1. He then rebounded in Consolation Round 2 with an 11-4 decision over Johnny White of Ouachita Baptist. He later lost in Consolation Round 3 by 17-1 technical fall at 6:00 to Talan Braswell (Unattached).  

Skyler Geer (174 lb) 

Geer started with a 3–0 fall at 1:48 over Diego Duarte of Adams State, followed by a 17-6 major decision over Derek Truman of Barton CC in Championship Round 2. He later lost in the Quarterfinal 11-7 by decision to Marlin Whyte of Western Colorado. In Consolation Round 4, he fell 12-3 by major decision to Henry Reiley of Nebraska-Kearney.  

Erik Tomanek (197 lb) 

Tomanek earned a 3–0 fall at 1:02 over Jonathan Martinez of Schreiner University. He then lost in Championship Round 2 to Ryan Patterson of Fort Hays State, 3–0 at 1:21, and fell in Consolation Round 2 by 16-1 technical fall at 4:21 to Jackson Rotterman of Air Force Prep, ending his day. 

Rio Gomez (285 lb) 

Gomez won in Championship Round 1 by a 2-3 fall at 6:26 over Will Restine of Carl Albert State. In Championship Round 2, he fell 5-1 by decision to Aaden Menard of Fort Hays Tech Northwest. In Consolation Round 2, he lost 3-2 by decision to Jayden Shannon of Fort Hays Tech Northwest. 

Isaiah Hill (285 lb) 

Hill defeated Bryan Martinez of Schreiner University by 0–0 fall at 3:10, then lost to Robert Tatum of Colby CC by 3-4 decision. In Consolation Round 2, he fell by 2-3 fall to Dillon Sorenson of Adams State. In consolation round 3, he fell by a 15–1 major decision to Phillip Chobot of New Mexico Highlands.  

De'Leon Freeman (285 lb): Fourth Place 

Freeman began with a 3-0 fall at 0:55 over Xander Wills of Otero College, followed by a 4-0 fall at 4:38 over Parker Glaze of Ouachita Baptist in Championship Round 2. He later defeated Brayden Hill of Cloud County CC by a 6-2 decision in the Quarterfinal. In the Consolation Semifinal, Freeman won 9-0 by disqualification over Brandon Schoenecke of Carl Albert State. In the third-place match, he lost by fall to Riah Ostrander of Fort Hays State, 3-0 at 6:50. 

 
 
The Jets will head to Indianapolis, Indiana, to compete at the Midwest Classic on Saturday.
