How it Happened:Â
Jordan Glenn-Hawkins got the Jets offense started with an early three pointer to give Newman their first lead of the game.
Sam Somerhalder followed Hawkins' lead with two baskets from the field to increase the difference. With fifteen minutes left in the half,
Deadric Fikes made a dunk to give the Jets a five point lead and record his first points of the night. After that,
Jacob Joe made two consecutive threes to leave the score at 20-9. The Jets were able to maintain the lead until the end of the half, with Fikes, Hawkins and Somerhalder carrying the offense. The half ended 39-33.Â
Off of the break, the Lions scored from behind the arc to reduce the difference to three. Four minutes later, MSSU regained the lead with a long three pointer.
