Last Time Out
The Jets hit the road to face the Bearcats last weekend. The Bearcats took game one, 10-6 and took game two 5-1 to secure the series win over the Jets. In game three, the Jets rallied to take the win at 12-11. In game one, Anthony Cannavino led the Jets with four RBIs after a grand slam. Cannavino also added two hits in four appearances and scored three times. Micah Kobuszewski added 3-5 from the plate with two RBIS. In the game three win against the Bearcats, Blake Mitchell led the Jets with four RBIs after a grand slam. Eli Wohl added two RBIs. Nciolas Ely and Hunter Brown both posted 3-5 from the plate. Gio De Graauw earned the win on the mound with five innings pitched, allowing three runs and three hits with four strikeouts. Jared Newton earned the save on the mound, facing three batters in the bottom of the ninth inning.  
 
Scouting the Jets 
Trent Trammell leads the Jets with a .394 batting average. Trammell has posted 52 hits on 132 at bats, with two home runs, four doubles, and 19 RBIs. Blake Mitchell has a .345 batting average with 12 doubles, 44 RBIs, eight home runs, and has scored 27 times. Mitchell leads the Jets in OPS with 1.037. Micah Kobuszewski brings in a .328 batting average with a .931 OPS, 44 hits, 11 doubles, 35 RBIs, one triple, and three home runs. On the mound for the Jets, Gio De Graauw leads with a 4.50 ERA. De Graauw has posted three wins in 11 appearances with 54 innings pitched and 55 total strikeouts. Colby Wilson has a 7.90 ERA with 16 appearances and three wins. Wilson has also earned two saves on the season with 49 innings pitched and 34 strikeouts. Aleks Koppel has recorded 36 strikeouts with a 10.37 ERA. Koppel has appeared in ten games with 41.2 innings pitched. 
 
Behind Enemy Lines
Fort Hays State has an overall record of 27-10 and a 21-5 conference record. The Tigers were ranked No. 20 in last week's NCBWA pol, but dropped out this week. FHSU is still ranked in the NCBWA coaches poll at No. 23. The Tigers faced Washburn on Tuesday for a midweek matchup before heading to Wichita to face the Jets. Against the Ichabods, the Tigers took the 10-8 win in extra innings. Brandon Chavez earned the win on the mound for the Tigers. Tony Moore and Luis Ayala led the Tigers with two RBIs apiece.  Last weekend against the Riverhawks, the Tigers won the series with a 2-0 game one win and a run rule , 17-7, win in game three. Game two went to the Riverhawks at 6-2. Tony Moore leads the Tigers with a .385 batting average. He has posted 42 hits, 11 doubles, three triples, two home runs, and 29 RBIs. Trey DeGarmo leads the Tigers in RBIs with 48 total. DeGarmo has posted a .370 batting average, 1.121 OPS, 54 hits, eight doubles and 13 home runs. On the mound for the Tigers, Ty Riley leads with a 2.45 ERA through 12 appearances with eight wins. Riley has 88 total strikeouts on the year through 69.2 innings pitched. Brandon Chavez has posted a 2.70 ERA with a 6-0 record. Chavez has a total of 40 innings pitched with 43 strikeouts. 
 
The Series
The Jets lead the series against FHSU with an 11-9 record. The last matchup in April of last year went to the Jets with a 12-5 final score. The Jets took the series last season, with wins in game two and game three of the midweek series.
