TULSA, Okla.– The Women's Golf team competed at the NSU Classic this week. The Jets wrapped up round one in 15th place after shooting a team score of 327. Day two saw the Jets move into 14th place to close out the tournament.
Isabella Callaba and Emily Wolverson led the way for the Jets on day one, each carding a 79. Asdis Bjarnadottir was right behind them, finishing with an 80. Aiden Coffelt and Daniela Alvarez rounded out Newman's scoring with an 89 apiece.
After the opening round, Callaba and Wolverson were tied for 43rd individually, while Bjarnadottir sat tied for 49th. Coffelt and Alvarez were tied for 83rd heading into day two.
The Jets closed out the NSU Classic on Tuesday with their second round of play. Isabella Callaba led the Jets with an 82Â to finish tied for 53rd overall. Aiden Coffelt made the biggest move for Newman, improving 10 strokes from day one with a 79 . Emily Wolverson added an 85, while Daniela Alvarez carded a 82. Asdis Bjarnadottir also shot 87 on the final day.
