Box Score WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Newman Men's Soccer traveled south to take on No. 24 Midwestern State, battling to a 3-3 draw.
How it Happened:
The Jets came out firing, scoring three times in the opening 18 minutes. Kei Nagakura set up Gregoire Henri for the first goal in the 5th minute. Yoshuke Ono doubled the lead with an unassisted strike in the 14th minute, before Daiki Okada added a third in the 18th. The Mustangs answered in the 27th minute to trim the deficit to 3-1, a score that held into halftime.
At the break, MSU held an 8-6 shot advantage, but the Jets led with four shots on goal.
The Mustangs kept pushing in the second half, pulling within one in the 68th minute before finding the equalizer in the 84th. Neither side could break the deadlock, as the Jets secured a 3-3 draw with the nationally ranked Mustangs.
