KEARNEY, Ne.- The Jets traveled to Kearney for duals against Sioux Falls and Nebraska-Kearney. 

Sioux Falls 
Jaxson Newcomb opened the contest for the Jets at 125 lbs against Vicent Mayberry, losing by fall (1:29). The Cougars claimed six points. The Jets forfeited the 133lb match, pushing the score to 12-0. At 141 lbs, Kaven Bartlett lost by tech fall (3:12), to Beau Beavers. This extended USF's lead to 17-0. Colby Schreiner wrestled the 149lb match. With a fall over Sonny Lora at 2:58, Schreiner secured six points for the Jets, taking the score to 17-6. Elijah Means then took on Cooper Sanders at 157 lbs, falling by technical fall (3:34) as USF expanded its lead to 22-6. At 165 lbs, Jayden Ford lost by fall to Lincoln Fink, at 5:00. The score would go to 28-6. In the 174lb match, Skyler Geer wrestled Ashtin Johnson, earning the win by decision 11-7. The score would go to 28-9. Chris Mapp stepped in at 184 lbs against Mishael Mauck, winning by tech fall (19-3, 6:37). The score would stand at 28-14. Erik Tomanek then faced Meyer at 197 lbs, dropping the match by fall (4:15). The Lopers would extend their lead to 34-14. To close out the dual, Caleb Wunsch competed against Stetson Davis at 285 lbs, winning by fall (4:23).  

The Jets would fall to the Cougars 40-14. 


Nebraska-Kearney
Jaxson Newcomb opened the matchup for the Jets at 125lbs against No. 7 Caleb Coyle of the Lopers. Coyle won by decision 8-4, giving the UNK the lead 3-0. At 133 lbs, Newman would forfeit. Giving UNK six team points, bringing their lead to 9-0. Kaven Bartlett then faced Brenyn Delano at 141 lbs, dropping the match by technical fall (22-5, 6:59), which would bring the score to 14-0. The Lopers forfeited the 149lb match, giving the Jets six team points. The score would go to 14-6. At 157lbs, Elijah Means lost by tech fall to No. 6 Cael Robb (17-2, 4:40). This extended Kearney's lead to 19-6. Jayden Ford then took on No. 9 Trenton Munoz at 165lbs, losing by fall (2:32) as UNK expanded its lead to 25-6. At 174lbs, Skyler Geer lost by major decision to Henry Reilly, 18-4. Taking the Lopers' lead to 29-6. In the 184lb match, Chris Mapp wrestled Alex Munoz, who earned a tech fall (16-0, 4:37), taking the Lopers' lead to 34-6. Erik Tomanek stepped in at 197lbs against Jacob Awiszus, with the Lopers adding six more points via fall (1:42). The score would go to 40-6. To close out the dual, Caleb Wunsch competed against No. 2 Crew Howard at 285 lbs, losing by fall (5:49).  

The Jets would fall to the No. 2 Lopers, 46-6. 


The Jets will stay on the road, competing on Sunday at the UCM Open.
