CLAREMORE, Ok- The Jets traveled to Claremore for a Saturday afternoon match-up against Rogers State. The Hillcats took the game 77-59.
How it Happened:
- The Jets kicked off the game with two layups by Cyrus Shaw and one by Thatcher McClure. Both teams would go back and forth with points. A three-pointer by Jacob Joe would give the Jets the lead 9-8. After a few bustling minutes, the Hillcats would take the lead, going up 23-15. The Jets would bring the game within one, with Joe with his second three-pointer of the night. At the end of the first half, the Jets would trail 29-35. The Jets were led by Cyrus Shaw, who had nine points in the first half. Joe would be the only player from both teams to have made a three-pointer.
- The Hillcats would start the second half, extending their lead out to 12 points. McClure would get the Jets going in the second half with a layup. Joe would sink his third three-pointer of the night, extending his points on the night to nine. The Hillcats would finish strong, ending the second half ahead 59-77.
Player Notes:
- Shaw led the Jets with 21 points, eight rebounds, and 5 assists. Shaw shot 11 from 14 from the free throw line.
- Joe had 12 points, with four three-pointers, shooting 66.7 percent from beyond the arc.
- McClure scored 10 points, going 2-2 from the free throw line.
The Jets return home to face Missouri Southern on Thursday and Pitt State on Saturday.
