Non-Conference Recap
The Jets have posted a 2-8 record with their non-conference slate so far. The Jets kicked off their season against NWOSU on the road, defeating the rangers 8-5 in ten innings. In the Jets first win, Maximus Moreno was credited with the win on the mound with Fran Montanez recording the save. On the offensive side of the ball, Kaynan Kaku, Justin Birch, and Louis Coca all recorded two RBIs a piece. The Jets would then host MSU Denver for a four game series, with the Roadrunners taking all four games of the series (3-5, 1-16, 2-9, 2-9). The Jets would then host Upper Iowa for a four game series. The Jets would take a win in the fourth game of the series, defeating the Peacocks 6-2. In the 6-2 win, Frank Fabian was credited with the win on the mound. On the offensive end, Kaku led the Jets with three RBIs. The last time out, the Jets hosted NWOSU on Tuesday. The Rangers would take the game 14-3 in seven innings. 

Scouting the Jets 
Through non-conference play Nicolas Ely leads the Jets with a .387 batting average while also tallying a .893. Ely has scored eight runs for the Jets, with 12 hits. Kaku has averaged a .361 batting average with 12 hits, four doubles, and 9 RBIs which leads the team in RBIs. Birch is second in RBIs with seven. On the mound, Frank Fabian leads the Jets with 14.1 innings pitched, tallying a 1-1 record so far. Alex Gillig has pitched 14 innings for the Jets, with eight strikeouts. Ryan Pacha leads Newman on the mound in total strikeouts with nine total through ten innings pitched. 
 

Behind Enemy Lines
The Ichabods posted a 2-5 record so far through non-conference play. The Ichabods claimed their first win against Palm Beach Atlantic with an 18-7 win. In the Ichabods first win, Gavin Wilhelm claimed the win on the mound. On the offensive end, Owen Laessig led the Bods with three RBIs. They then beat Sioux Falls 9-3. In this win, Caleb Lunnon earned the win on the mound with six strikeouts and four hits allowed. Chase Littrell led the Bods with two RBIs. 
Washburn's losses came against Lynn, Nova Southeastern, Barry, MSU Denver, and Sioux Falls (game two). Three Ichabods have pitched more than ten innings so far this season, Maclane Finley (11.0), Caleb Lunnon (10.1), and Kai Bennett (10.0). Levi Risenhoover leads the Ichabods with six RBIs, with Jackson Mervosh. 

The Series
The Jets have a 7-16 record against the Ichabods. The last four games have gone to the Ichabods. The last win for the Jets came in April of 2024 where they defeated the Bods 12-11 at McCarthy Field. 

Next Up
The Jets will hit the road for four straight. On Tuesday, Newman will face Pittsburg State at 2 PM. Then for the weekend series, the Jets will face a ranked Central Missouri squad beginning on Friday at 3 PM.
