WICHITA- Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach
Lon Flippo and the Newman Golf teams announced three new signings for the upcoming fall.
Laura Stewart- Duncan, Oklahoma
Laura is from Duncan, Oklahoma where their team won the 2025 Oklahoma State Championship. Laura has competed and placed in the top 10 in each tournament she has played in over the past three years. Additionally, she has competed in OKJA and numerous other state and regional Junior tours.
"We cannot wait for Laura to continue her golf journey at Newman," said Head Coach
Lon Flippo. "Her work ethic, passion and experience are going to be huge asset for our women's program."
Kenyon Crawford- South Riding, Virginia
Crawford is the reigning 2025 Individual Virginia 4A State Champion. Crawford brings All State Honors, coupled with multiple Junior tours wins and top 5 finishes. He set the course record (59) from South Ridge Golf Club.
"Kenyon is a polished incoming freshman who blew us away from his first visit, " said Flippo. "We are thrilled to welcome Kenyon to Newman."
William Tauson- Malmo, Sweden
William has demonstrated strong scoring ability highlighted by a career low, 67, at a national tournament. Coupled with multiple rounds under par, William also helped his school team to a top 5 finish.
"We are excited to have William join us at Newman and continue his path to becoming a great player, " said Coach Flippo.
