EDMOND, Okla.- The Jets traveled to Edmond, Oklahoma, to face conference opponent Central Oklahoma. The Jets fell to the Bronchos, 12-5, in game two of the series on Friday, April 10th. 
 
How it Happened: 
- Gavin Wakefield held the Bronchos hit less in the top of the first and replied with the first hit of the game in the bottom half of the inning, coming off the bat of Kaynan Kaku. The Bronchos scored the first runs of the game via a three-run home run, and their fourth on an RBI ground-out. 
- Collin Morris would lead the Jets off in the second with a single and advance to third, but was unable to score. The Bronchos were held scoreless in the bottom of the third, and in the top half of the inning, Nicolas Ely homered, taking the score to 4-1. 
- After holding Central Oklahoma hit less in the fourth, the Jets answered with four runs. Singles to Justin Birch and Trey Runge started the inning, and both were advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Zac Becker. Ely reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Birch, and Carter Andreozzi doubled to score Ely. Kaku then homered to bring in Andreozzi. The score would stand at 4-5. 
- In the fifth inning, the Bronchos scored two runs off of two singles and a double. Maximus Moreno entered the game, getting a strikeout to end the inning. UCO scored their seventh run on a sacrifice fly to centerfield in the sixth. 
- After a scoreless seventh, the Bronchos added four runs in the eighth to extend their lead to 11-5, then held Newman scoreless. In the ninth, UCO scored their 12th run of the game via a sacrifice fly, taking the final score to 12-5. 

Player Notes: 
- Kaku went 4-5, adding a home run, a run, and two RBI's. 
- Ely tallied two hits, two runs, two RBI's, including a home run.  
- Andreozzi added a double, a run, and one RBI. 

Newman baseball will play the Bronchos in game three of the series tomorrow at 12 PM.
