BOLIVAR, Mo. — Newman University secured a commanding 13-3 victory over Southwest Baptist University at Dodson Field on Friday. Newman collected 14 hits, including four doubles and a home run, to dominate the game.

How it Happened: 
- Newman secured a decisive 13-3 victory over SBU, showcasing a strong offensive performance. In the second inning, Riley Kujawa doubled to center field, bringing Thomas Munn home. Justin Birch followed with a two-run homer to left center, giving Newman a 3-0 lead. The Bearcats responded with an RBI double, ending the inning 3-1 in favor of Newman.
- In the fourth inning, the Jets extended their lead with four runs. Nicolas Ely walked with the bases loaded, sending Munn across the plate. Collin Morris followed with another bases-loaded walk, allowing Kujawa to score. Kaynan Kaku then singled through the left side, driving in Ely and Birch. The inning concluded with Newman ahead 7-1.
- Newman's offense continued in the fifth inning with four more runs. Ely's single to center field brought in Munn and Colton Holland. Kaku and Peyton Mitchell each added an RBI single, increasing the lead to 11-1.
- Southwest Baptist was held scoreless in the sixth inning, while the Jets added two runs in the seventh. Ely doubled to right center, scoring Birch. Ely later scored on a wild pitch, extending Newman's lead to 13-1. SBU managed two runs in the bottom of the seventh with a two-run homer, but Newman maintained a commanding 13-3 lead.
