KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced the results of its 2026-27 men's golf preseason coaches poll. Defending back-to-back MIAA champion Central Oklahoma was picked by league head coaches to finish first again.
Central Oklahoma earned the No. 1 spot in the 2026-27 MIAA men's golf preseason coaches poll with 77 points and five first-place votes. Washburn was picked second with 71 points and three first-place votes. Central Missouri earned the No. 3 spot with 69 points and the remaining two first-place votes. Missouri Western ranked fourth with 51 points, and Arkansas-Fort Smith rounded out the top five with 44. Pittsburg State was sixth with 40 points, followed by Missouri Southern in seventh (33), Newman in eighth (27), Northeastern State in ninth (24) and Rogers State in 10th (14).

Halldor Vidar (SO). The men are coming off of a 4th place finish in last years MIAA Tournament, and a 2nd place finish in last years Newman Fall Invite.
The 2026-27 NCAA Division II men's golf season begins next week, with the Jets and several MIAA programs opening at The Mule, hosted by the University of Central Missouri, Sept. 8-9 at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Mo. The 2027 MIAA Men's Golf Championship is scheduled for April 19-21 at Jefferson City Country Club in Jefferson City, Mo.
