AUSTIN, Texas - The Newman men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to St. Edward's Friday afternoon in Austin, Texas. Marshall Johnston had two shots on goal, but couldn't put them past SEU keeper Matt Moore.

Joe Gerant and Will Peppard were the only other Jets to finish with shots on goal in the match. After allowing just one goal from the flow of play in his previous four games as replacement keeper, senior Stephen Williams gave up two goals in the match as the Hilltoppers topped the Jets.

With the loss, the Jets fall to 3-10-3, and 2-5-1 in Heartland Conference action. They will be back in action Sunday when they travel to San Antonio to take on Incarnate Word in a 1 p.m. contest.
