MATCH NOTES
The Newman men's soccer team returns to Wilkins Field after three-straight road contests, and will face two very different teams this weekend. Friday evening the Jets will host Heartland Conference rival Texas-Permian Basin in a 7 p.m. contest, before hosting undefeated and second-ranked Midwestern State on Sunday at 1 p.m. Friday's contest will be used as the team's annual breast cancer awareness day. Before the game, the men's soccer team will present a check to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and will warm up in pink shirts.

Newman will take the field opposite the Texas-Permian Basin Falcons for the first time this season Friday evening under the lights at Wilkins Field. The Jets are 2-8 this season, and have lost six-straight after dropping a 3-1 decision to No. 11 Incarnate Word Sunday in San Antonio, Texas..
The Falcons, meanwhile, have struggled to a 1-10 record this year, with their only win coming in a 4-0 decision over St. Mary's on Oct. 1 in San Antonio.

Newman concludes its brief two-game homestand by hosting Midwestern State Sunday afternoon. The Mustangs are 10-0 this season, and were ranked No. 2 in this week's NSCAA National Poll.
A win against either team would be Newman's first-ever win against the Falcons or the Mustangs.
