EDMOND, Okla. - Wrestling in its second dual in six hours, the Newman wrestling team dropped a 42-3 decision to Central Oklahoma Friday night in Edmond, Okla. Mitch Arnold picked up Newman's only win in the dual.

Just like Friday afternoon's dual at Oklahoma City, the Jets spotted the Bronchos a 12-0 advantage right out of the gates, forfeiting the 125 and 133 lb. weight classes. Brent Fisher was one move away from putting Newman on the board in the 141 match, but came up one point short in a 2-1 decision to UCO's Michael Walkup. Mitch Arnold came through for the Jets, earning a 6-5 decision over Colby Robinson, but by that time the Jets trailed 15-3.

Arnold's win was Newman's only win in the match, as the Bronchos swept the remaining matches on the card, including two Newman forfeits in the 197 and 285 lb weight classes.

The Central Oklahoma dual was Newman's last scheduled dual of the regular season. Next on the schedule is the NCAA Div. II Midwest Regional on Feb. 28 in Warrensburg, Mo.
