WICHITA – The Newman baseball team took the three game series against Heartland Conference opponent Texas A&M International at McCarthy Field this weekend. With one out and one on base, David Longmore homered over the right field fence for the two runs in the inning. The game ended 5-2 after sixth and a half innings.

A single from Thomas Robulack to open the second, followed by a Jordan Ollenberger single and a John Bonebrake pop out, allowed Robulack to score for the only run in the second inning, taking the lead for the Jets, 2-1.

Newman came up big in the bottom of the third, after the Dustdevils added one run. Williams started things off with a double to right field, and advanced to third on a wild pitch.
