Box Score WICHITA - The Newman men's soccer team opened Heartland Conference play on a high note Friday evening, beating St. Mary's 1-0. Junior Amadou Doumbia scored the only goal in the 40th minute off a ball from junior Nathan Nece. The win marked the first conference-opening win for the Jets since 2008 when they beat St. Mary's 2-0.
