Box Score WICHITA - The Newman men's soccer team fell to 1-1 in Heartland Conference play Sunday afternoon after a 3-0 loss to Texas A&M International. The Dustdevils entered the game ranked No. 22 in the latest NSCAA national poll.
- The match was tied 0-0 at halftime. Each team recorded just two shots on goal in the first 45 minutes.

Jason Dewey had five saves in the match and fell to 2-3 on the season.
- The Jets were out-shot 12-6 in the second half and finished with an 18-10 shot deficit in the match.
- TAMIU finished with a 6-1 corner kick advantage in the game.
- The Dustdevils committed nine more fouls than Newman in the match and finished with 17, while the Jets had eight.

With the loss the Newman falls to 2-4 on the season and 1-1 in Heartland Conference play. The Jets will travel to Canyon, Texas where they will take on the West Texas A&M Buffalos Friday Sept. 23rd at 7 p.m..
