WICHITA - The Newman wrestling team will host Central Missouri Wednesday for a dual match inside Fugate Gymnasium. The Jets will look to notch a second consecutive win over the Mules this year after beating them 26-23 Jan. 22 in Warrensburg Mo.

The Mules will enter competition Wednesday coming off an 38-11 loss to Ouachita Baptist Jan. 27 in Little Rock, Ark. The UCM wrestling team has participated in several tournaments this year and last faced the Jets Jan. 22 when they hosted the UCM Dual Jamboree. In that dual Newman's
Jacob Cole secured a win for the Jets with a pin in the heavyweight division over UCM's Derek Sanders. This will be the second time this year the Mules will have visited Fugate Gymnasium. They attending the Jet Invitational Dec. 11 and claimed a fifth place finish.
Newman will be looking to build upon its 3-8 dual record and will field several wrestlers who have complied winning records this season.
Mitch Arnold (141 lbs.) carries a 24-13 record into Wednesday's competiton and will be ready to meet UCM's Nick Viterisi (141 lbs.) for the fourth time this year. In their previous three meetings Arnold has gone 2-1 against Viterisi including a recent 6-1 win by decision Jan. 22 in Warrensburg Mo.
Tyler Hasenbank (184 lbs.) holds a 23-13 record this season and enters competiton off a second place finish at the Kansas Cup Jan. 30 in Baldwin City Kan. Hasenbank has only faced one Central Missouri wrestler this season, claiming a 5-1 decison win over Willie Ressel (184 lbs.) in the UCM Dual Jamboree.
Jacob Cole (285 lbs.) brings a 25-11 overall record into competiton and will try to replicate his performace the last time these two teams met. In their last meeting Cole pinned UCM's Derek Sanders (285 lbs.) in the final bout of the dual to give the Jets 26-23 win over the Mules.

Following Wednesday's action the Jets will travel to Plainview, Texas on Feb. 4 for the Texas Shootout hosted by Wayland Baptist. Wrestling is set to begin at 10 a.m.
