WICHITA – Jordan Krenek and Mitch Arnold grabbed the Jets' only wins against a tough sixth-ranked Central Oklahoma team Wednesday night inside Fugate Gymnasium. The wrestling team fell, 36-6 to the Bronchos and will now turn its attention to the NCAA Super Regional Feb. 26 in St. Cloud, Minn.

Newman opened the dual with a last second win in the 125 lb. division when Jordan Krenek was awarded a reversal against Ryan Brooks as time expired, giving Krenek a 2-1 win that gave the Jets a 3-0 lead. Dustin Reed quickly responded for the Bronchos, pinning Zach Vann in the 133 lb. weight class to put UCO ahead, 6-3. Mitch Arnold hit the mat next for the Jets, and defeated Casy Rowell at 141 lbs. in an exciting bout that went to a sudden death overtime period and tied the dual at 6-6. Arnold's win was Newman's last of the dual. The Bronchos won the final seven bouts en route to the 36-6 win.

With the loss Newman finishes at 4-12 in dual match action this season. The team will now focus on the upcoming NCAA Super Regional Feb. 26 in St. Cloud, Minn.
