Box Score WICHITA – The Newman men's soccer team lost 3-0 to Lubbock Christian on Saturday (Oct. 19) at Wilkins Field on Senior Day. The Jets fell to 0-12-1 on the season and 0-5 in the Heartland Conference.
 
Lubbock Christian took the lead early in the seventh minute on a shot from the right side from 8-yards out for a 1-0 advantage. LCU doubled the lead to 2-0 right before halftime with a goal in the 39th minute.
 
LCU added one more goal in the second half on a shot from 10-yards away in the 62nd minute.
 
Nick Gorrie totaled two of the three goals for LCU, including the game winner.
 
The Jets finished with five shots. Taylor Henry led NU with two shots, including one on goal.
 
Robin Allard started in goal and made four saves and allowed the three goals.
 
NU plays its final home game of the season on Monday (Oct. 21) against Texas-Permian Basin at 12 p.m. at Wilkins Field.
