Box Score LAREDO, Texas – After tying the score at 1-1 with 4 seconds left in regulation, the Newman men's soccer team allowed an overtime goal, falling 2-1 to Texas A&M International on Monday (Oct. 7) afternoon at the TAMIU Soccer Complex. The Jets dropped to 0-9-1 on the season.

Noel Torres forced overtime with a goal scored with 4 seconds left in regulation, his second goal of the season. Torres headed in a cross from
Kevin Crafton from 20-yards out to tie the score at 1-1.
TAMIU scored the game-winning golden goal in the 98th minute in overtime. The Dustdevils headed in a cross for the 2-1 win.
The Dustdevils went up 1-0 in the 40th minute on a header from a cross 35-yards out. TAMIU held the 1-0 lead until the NU goal late in regulation.
NU hosts McMurry on Saturday (Oct. 12) at 5 p.m. at Wilkins Field in the Jets Heartland Conference home opener.
