EDMOND, Okla. – The Newman wrestling team fell, 40-7, to No. 3 Central Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 16) at Hamilton Field House. The Jets won two of the 10 weight classes in the dual. Travis Rodenbaugh and Lorenzo Serna picked up the two Jet victories. 
 
The Jets led the dual after two matches, 4-3. After Kris Workman lost a 4-0 decision to Ryan Brooks of UCO, Travis Rodenbaugh put the Jets in front, 4-3, with an 11-3 major decision win over Austin McNatt at the 133 lb. class.
 
For there, the host Bronchos rolled, winning the next seven weight classes with five of those wins coming by pin.
 
Lorenzo Serna ended the dual with a win for the Jets. He won a 6-2 decision over Carson Mathews in the 285 lb. class for the final 40-7 score.
 
The Jets wrestling team now gears up for the NCAA Super Regional on Feb. 24 in Waterloo, Iowa.
