Box Score WICHITA Falls, Texas – The Newman men's soccer team fell to Midwestern State, 6-0, on Friday afternoon (Sept. 27) on the road at the MSU Soccer Field. The Jets dropped to 0-6-1 on the season.
The Mustangs scored their first goal in the 11th minute and pushed the margin to 2-0 with a goal in the 18th minute. MSU held a 3-0 halftime lead as the Mustangs added a goal in the 39th minute.
MSU added three more goals in the second half for the 6-0 win. The goals came in the 65th, 74th and 76th minutes.
NU totaled nine shots in the game, including seven in the first half. Only one shot was on goal.

Marcio Souza each had two shots with Souza getting a shot on goal.
The Mustangs finished with 27 shots, including 16 shots on goal.
Steven Hamersky started in goal and made 10 saves.
NU finishes its non-conference schedule on Tuesday (Oct. 1) with an away game at Friends University. The game starts at 8:30 p.m.
