AUSTIN, Texas – The Newman men's soccer team will take on St. Mary's on Friday (Nov. 7) in the Heartland Conference Tournament, hosted by St. Edward's at Lewis-Chen Family Field.
 
The Jets and Rattlers will square off on Friday at 12 p.m. in Austin, Texas. Live video and stats will be provided for all tournament contests.
 
The Jets finished second in the Heartland Conference standings, qualifying for the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. NU finished the regular season conference schedule with a 6-2 record, and the Jets are 12-4-1 overall.
 
St. Mary's is the third seed in the tournament with a 5-3 conference record. They are 8-6-2 overall.
 
NU won the regular season meeting between the two teams, 2-1, in double overtime in Wichita on Oct. 6. Luca Anelli scored the match-winning goal in the 104th minute. Kerbson Lubin scored the other goal early in the first half.
 
SEU won the Heartland Conference regular season championship with an 8-0 record, and the Hilltoppers are 14-2-1 overall. They are the No. 1 seed and play No. 4 seed Texas A&M International on Friday (Nov. 7) at 2:30 p.m.
 
The Heartland Conference Championship will be played on Sunday (Nov. 9) at 12 p.m. Live video and stats will be provided for the conference tournament.
